ABOUT

Fabio di Biase is an italian pianist and composer from Foggia. Classically trained on piano (he plays piano since the age of 9), he studied jazz with the Italian pianist Davide Santorsola in 2001 and attended Umbria Jazz Clinics in 2008. In recent years he has returned to approaching classical music with Angelo Nasuto, trying to create a link between these two very different languages.
His debut album ‘Spring’ was released in May 2018. It’s an acoustic solo piano album comprising of 6 tracks. He played a Steinway & Sons piano in a recording studio near Florence, Italy. This album is characterized by bright sounds, almost all the songs are in major tones and have references to some artists who have deeply marked Fabio di Biase, the closeness to the jazz past is clear enough in some moments.
Oceano’ and ‘Favola’, his two singles followed in December 2018 and January 2019, put him in a totally changed sound dimension compared to the first album. Now there are rarefied and subtle sounds, made with a piano with felt. These two songs were recorded in a recording studio in southern Italy, in Naples, The Soundinside Basement.
In the middle of 2019 Fabio enters the studio again to record 'Oceano - Part II'. This time he plays the Yamaha C3 grand piano, to give a deeper sound to the last composition. A double bass, pads and synths now enrich the atmosphere.
In early 2020 "RUN" was released, a funky uptempo song totally produced with Native Instruments Komplete 12.
Now Fabio is working at new album made of songs composed at piano with felt.
